Her first poetry book, “A Painter’s Night Journal,” published in 2016 by Finishing Line Press, deals with the emotions and process and issues of painting over many decades. Most writers love to write about the subject matter of paintings but, since they are not painters, they riff about their own memories and associations, not about the process of painting.

Lindsay's second chapbook, “Notes from a Caregiver” about her husband's collapse with bone cancer, was published by Poetry Box in 2020 and is used by psychotherapists to help patients enduring similar traumas.  Robert Frost said 'no tears for the writer, no tears for the reader.'  Most of these poems were scribbled in doctors' and hospitals' waiting rooms very much in the moment.

Her poetry has been published in Salamander, Alimentum, Tricycle, the Connecticut River Review, Pulse, Intinma, InScribe, Monterey Poetry Review, etc.

MFA in poetry from Sarah Lawrence College 1998
